VANGUART's curatorial line:

There is art without living matter, even without matter there is art, just as there is no way not to transmit something since even the void transmits emptiness; The body of the artist, of the viewer, of the image, of the interface, everything can flow. VANGUART is the expansion of art to flesh, skin, wires, sound, contact, light, symptoms, signs, biology, physics, emptiness...

1. Unpublished techniques in process: works that use new procedures, from organic dyes to algorithmic code.
2. Politics of the Body in Process: Works That Interrogate Gender, Presence, Tactility, Control, and Subjectivity.
3. Anti-form and mutation: pieces in process that change with time, the viewer or the environment.
4. Critique of the market: art as a counter-hegemonic device, not a fetish.

VANGUART is a translational Salon, from the pre-conception of the artistic hypothesis in the mind of the person, to wherever it wants to show us. There is no expectation of seeing objects to contemplate, but activities, systems that unfold, works in transition, and of course, the person working on the work. VANGUART presents mutant, reversible, ephemeral, uncomfortable works. What has not yet been exhibited because it is not finished, which is expected to be seen in 2027. Thus, the observer will never see the finished work, he will only see the state in transition.
What is not in a manual, what is not orthodox, is exhibited: porous art, materials detested or discarded in other artistic lines, new techniques, hybrid procedures between biology, code, trial and error, intuition or residue.
VANGUART is not looking for beauty, but for power; That which interrupts, stops, connects, transforms. What doesn't make it into Instagram, but it goes through you and evokes emotions. Avant-garde art is not summarized in new aesthetics, but in new structures of thought and perception.

VANGUART is not an ordinary market. It is an event, it is an atmosphere, where you can breathe in the innovation process. Therefore, it is a transit space, so we want it to be located where it is transited. In a transit area, to the outside, when a person thinks that everything is over and is invaded, surprised by VANGUART; A place to breathe radical art in the present continuous.

All work in VANGUART/ takes a position on the body, memory, violence, desire, ecology, the digital, diversity. Radical experimentation is required.Artists do not come to be understood; VANGUART does not want to be digested or translated. VANGUART is offered as a stimulus, not as a discourse. The audience that passes through knows that something changes inside them, even if they don't know what.

It is a gigantic atelier where dozens of artists from all over the world will work on those new hypotheses, those new mental concepts that they are preparing during the exhibition time of the Salon from March 4 to 8. What will we finally find published in 2027? In the VANGUART Hall we will be able to see the works in transit. VANGUART is what we haven't seen yet.

What we expect about the audience experience?:  you will go through it. It's not explained, it alters.
About the works: Here nothing is repeated, nothing is stabilised, every day the SALON will be different because the works are in transition. Each work behaves like a living body."

The team of curators will carefully select which innovative procedures can be presented in person, which in poster format, and which in e-poster format.
